Campus Safety & Pick-Up/Drop-Off Procedures

CLOSED CAMPUS

Ensuring the safety of all students is a top priority at Valle Vista Elementary School. It is for this reason Valle Vista will become a closed campus school. Beginning next school year, parents and visitors will need to check in with the office before coming onto school grounds. Volunteers and visitors are welcome and encouraged; they will just need to sign in at the office first. This allows us to account for all persons on campus while children are present.

Parents will be permitted to walk their children to classrooms during the first week of school only.  After the first week of school, all visitors will be required to check in at the office before entering campus.

Thank you for your support in helping to implement this new policy and for helping to keep Valle Vista Elementary safe and secure for all of our students!

DROP-OFF/PICK-UP

Drop-Off: Our parking lot gate will be open 7:00-7:46 and the Fairview gate will open 7:30-7:46 for drop-off. If your child arrives after 7:46, they will need to enter through the office for a tardy slip.

No vehicles should park along a curb during drop-off or pick-up. If you need to park/stop, please do so in a designated parking spot.

Pick-Up: For student pick-up, with a closed campus, grade levels are assigned a designated area to bring students for pick-up.
    - Grade K will be dismissed from the front gate near the office, closest to Kindergarten classrooms
    - Grades 1 and 2 will be assigned pick-up at the gate off Fairview Ave.
    - Grades 3, 4, 5 will be at the main parking lot gate for pick-up

If you have multiple children at Valle Vista, all siblings should meet for pick-up at the youngest child’s grade level area. Organizing
pick-up areas by grade level will help reduce congestion in any one area of the school and expedite the process for student pick-up.
